You may consider flying-in to Warsaw, Prague, Berlin and coming by train. Overnight train from Prague return ticket is very cheap, even if you buy sleeping compartment (we recommend for comfort and security) and you save on hotel. You usuallu do not need to rent a car in Poland as most destinations are very well linked by trains or buses (say Zakopane is only 2h15 by bus and ticket costs 2 EURO!)
